What you can do with it
It is the same agent as the desktop app, working on web pages instead of a repository.
Reads the page you are on
Ask about what is in front of you, or about a tab you have not opened yet. It follows links and works across several tabs at once — comparing, cross-referencing, collecting.
Fills forms, and stops before sending
Anything that sends, buys, posts or deletes stops and asks you first. Filling is automatic; submitting never is.
Reads whole documents
Attach a spreadsheet or a PDF and ask about it. It reads the entire file rather than the first page of it. Paste a long block of text and it becomes an attachment instead of filling the composer.
Builds things you can keep
Ask for a relic — a self-contained chart, table or calculator that opens in its own tab — or ask for the answer as a file, and it writes one you can download.
Follows you between devices
Conversations belong to your account, so you can pick one up on another machine. Page content is not part of what syncs.
Groups every tab it opens
Tabs Atlarix opens are collected into one labelled group, so you can see at a glance what it has touched. Closing the group stops it.
What it asks for, and what that means
When you install it, Chrome will say “Read and change all your data on all websites”. That is the real prompt and we would rather you read it here first than be surprised by it. Host access is a required permission, because the desktop app drives the browser and a request you already approved in the app should not ask you a second time in Chrome.
The in-panel agent holds itself to a narrower limit than Chrome grants it: it asks the first time it touches a site, and every site it has worked on is listed on your account page and revocable there.
How to actually take the access back
Revoking a site on your account page constrains the side panel. It does not withdraw host access from the desktop integration, because Chrome does not let an extension give back a permission it requires. To narrow or remove that, open chrome://extensions, find Atlarix, and set Site access to the sites you want — or switch it off. That is the control that actually governs both paths.
What stays on your device
The contents of pages Atlarix reads never leave your machine, and neither do the files you attach. What syncs to your account is what was said — your messages and its replies — so a conversation can continue somewhere else. Page content is not part of that, is not stored on our servers, and is never used for training.
What it costs
The extension is free to install and there is no subscription required to use it. It needs an Atlarix account and runs on Atlarix Core, which is pay-as-you-go: running the agent spends credit from your balance, which you top up from $10. That is the same balance the desktop app and Atlarix Reviewer spend from — one account, one balance, three surfaces — so if you are on Pro, the Core included for everyday work covers the extension too. You always see what a conversation is using in the panel, and Atlarix will not start a turn it cannot pay for.
