What is Atlarix?
Atlarix is an AI coding agent made by NorahLabs. It comes as a desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux, a CLI for the terminal, a Chrome extension, a pull-request reviewer (Atlarix Reviewer) and a cloud agent that works in GitHub Actions. It plans, edits, runs and reviews code in your own projects, and it asks before it changes a file.
Is Atlarix free?
Yes. Every feature is on the free plan: free Atlarix Auto in the desktop app (its prompts are shared with OpenAI, after a one-time OK), your own API keys, and local models. Atlarix Core models are paid for with Pro at $19 a month, which includes Core usage, or with pay-as-you-go credit from $10.
Which AI models does Atlarix work with?
Atlarix Auto, which picks a model for each step; the Atlarix Core models; your own API key for providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek and OpenRouter; or a local model through Ollama or LM Studio.
Does Atlarix index or upload my code?
No. Atlarix builds no index, no embeddings and no vector store; it searches the open folder with ripgrep when it needs to. Only the parts of files a request needs go to the model you chose, and with a local model nothing leaves your machine.
Can I use Atlarix in the terminal?
Yes. The Atlarix CLI is the same agent as the desktop app, sharing its sessions, models, keys and MCP servers. Install it with curl -fsSL https://atlarix.dev/install | sh on macOS and Linux, irm https://atlarix.dev/install.ps1 | iex on Windows, brew install amariahak/atlarix/atlarix, or npm i -g atlarix.
Can Atlarix work on my code while my computer is off?
Yes. The Atlarix cloud agent takes a request from Slack or atlarix.dev/cloud, works in your repository's own GitHub Actions and opens a pull request; nothing merges until the person who asked approves it. It runs on paid Atlarix models, or free on your own API key.
Can I use Atlarix from Slack?
Yes. Atlarix for Slack (atlarix.dev/slack) is a paid feature: mention @Atlarix or DM it with a repository and a task, and it does the work in the repository's own GitHub Actions and replies in the thread with a pull request that only the person who asked can approve. It runs on Atlarix models, billed to that person's Atlarix balance.
